Christians Under Construction - 1978-79 Living Dimension, 1978-79 Clear Light, & 1978-79 Foundation

 

 

 

      Ever watch a new building going up? Or an old one coming down? If you have, you've seen a lot of action! Those builders and construction workers don't waste time. They know what they're there for, and the foreman sees to it that they get on with the project. Sometimes it takes some mighty hard labor to raise that new beam or tear out that old wall, but you'll notice that it is accomplished through team work, cooperation and communication.

 

      Sometimes we Christians are so busy doing our own thing that we forget that we are co-laborers with God, and we fail to check our plans with the Master Designer. We forget that God is still building us into new persons, and we neglect that vital communication with the Foreman, our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith . . . who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despised the shame and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty! With such direct access to our Foreman, let us trust in His merits and let Him fashion and build our lives according to His specifications.

 

      Our Heavenly Father is such a kind and wonderfully good God! He has brought us love, joy, peace, hope and everlasting life. Let us praise Him and be thankful for the riches of His grace that are new every morning. And if we fail Him, if we turn back, if we play "the fool," He will forgive. Instead of throwing us away, instead of forcing us to quit, He wants to then heal us, forgive us and send us back to work . . . in fellowship with Himself. What a loving God we have!

 

      Carry on, Christian! In Christ you have eternal riches! God has added a Living Dimension of joy and purpose to your life. The Clear Light of His truth and love is shining into your heart. Your life is being built upon The Foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone. Let us come to Him today for fresh courage and direction. Rejoice and be glad!
